Detail Gouge Vs Spindle Gouge

Im going to go back to a more traditional fingernail grind and i think that will improve their performance. Either a spindle gouge or detail gouge will work fine for beads and coves. My suggestion would be to buy a spindle gouge now and only get the detail gouge when you think that you need it.
